COMMERCIAL LOAN PROCESSING SUPPORT CLERK

REPORTS TO:  Commercial Loan Processor Supervisor
SUPERVISES:  None
 
POSITION SUMMARY:Performs routine administrative tasks in support of day-to-day commercial loan processing. Process commercial loans by preparing proper loan documentation for commercial and agricultural non-real estate loan transactions. Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures and commercial loan documentation. May need to provide administrative support to Commercial/Ag lenders on occasion.

DUTIES:

  1. Assist loan personnel with loan document preparation; preparing tickets, changing accounts, codes, research, etc. as needed
  2. Process lease payments and sales tax; generate weekly and monthly reports for SCI
  3. Produce and distribute various departmental reports; distribute departmental courier items and mail
  4. Prepare non-real estate secured loan documents – research loans and collateral
  5. Prepare and track mortgage releases
  6. Review documents for covenants or servicing items
  7. Track exception documents and verify receipt thereof
  8. Maintain ticklers
  9. May perform customer transactions-master note draws, transfers, etc.
  10. Ensure schedules and deadlines are met
  11. Scanning duties
  12. Be knowledgeable of loan documentation and regulation
  13. Assist commercial loan  staff as needed; including various administrative tasks
 RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Responsible to the Commercial Loan Processor Supervisor for the fulfillment of functions assigned
  2. Will have contact with customers and bank staff on a regular basis
  3. Accuracy and attention to detail is required
  4. Clerical background in loans preferred; basic accounting knowledge
  5. Ability to multitask and stay focused
  6. Must show strong initiative and organizational skills
  7. Strong communication and phone skills, confidentiality and basic computer skills are desired
  8. Experience with software systems such as Navigator, ComplianceOne, Microsoft Office, and Director preferred

  1. Normal office environment
