PROOF/COMPUTER OPERATOR
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: IT Administrator
SUPERVISES: None
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will function as a proof operator and also an evening computer operator for the mainframe. This will require knowledge of all applications processed in the evening and overall system operations. Knowledge of proof processing with the understanding of how credits and debits balance as well as understanding of tran codes within each application required.
DUTIES:
1. Responsible in daily proof input and balancing of teller transactions
2. Responsible for nightly update processing on mainframe
3. Responsible for the ancillary processing that takes place after nightly update is completed
4. Responsible for the printing and separation of nightly reports created as well as all other special forms, including but not exclusive to statements, notices, and checks
RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Responsible to the IT Administrator for the fulfillment of duties assigned
2. Will have contact with the bank staff in fulfillment of balancing proof work
3. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
4. Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
5. Communication skills to talk to vendors in case of problems
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Normal office environment
2. Extended viewing of computer screens
3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
4. Repetitive hand and arm movement
5. Environment may necessitate excessive standing
