HUMAN RESOURCES STAFFING SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: Operations
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: VP Human Resources
SUPERVISES: None
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position offers support in the functional areas of the Human Resource Department, while providing a high-level of professional HR and customer service for employees of FFBT in all HR-related areas. The primary focus of the position is to research, develop and administer programs to address recruiting/staffing needs in order to retain high-quality staff to serve the bank’s needs.
DUTIES:
1. Work with management and department supervisors to determine current and projected future staffing needs
2. Create recruitment job advertisements
3. Coordinates internal and external job-posting programs including the use of social media
4. Administers pre-employment testing including checking references
5. Tracks appropriate information related to recruitment and applicants as required for Affirmative Action Plan and other comparisons
6. Attends job fairs on a regular basis to generate candidates
7. Works in partnership with the marketing department to make requests and recommendations for advertising placement
8. Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate colleges and universities, as well as, community agencies
to promote goodwill and assist with building candidate pools
9. When appropriate, works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates
10. Documents, files and maintains applicant records for future reference
11. Assists with development, implementation and evaluation of the bank’s policies and procedures on recruitment, testing and selection
12. Actively participate in implementation of career development programs and succession planning
13. Assist with additional Human Resource tasks as needed
RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Responsible to the VP Human Resources for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned
2. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and interactions with employees,
while being proficient with interpersonal relations and communicative skills
3. Desired skills & abilities include: the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, have a working knowledge of Office (Word & Excel), be a self starter, ability to prioritize tasks,
strong interpersonal skills, willingness to have a flexible schedule, strong communication and influencing skills, ability to balance multiple requirements,
high levels of drive and determination combined with a dynamic and innovative approach, familiarity with city, state and federal laws,
regulations and codes related to employment and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations
4. Continued research, education and training are essential
5. Bachelor’s degree or three to five years related experience is preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Normal office environment
2. Extended viewing of computer screens
3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
4. Repetitive hand and arm movement
5. Moderate travel
