SUPERVISES: Bargersville, Clay City, Brazil, Terre Haute, Farmersburg, Sullivan, Paris Main, Paris East
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for directing and administering, through subordinate personnel, a group of Bank Branches to achieve profit, growth, and customer service objectives through the development of deposits, assets, operational efficiencies and fee based services.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for directing and administering, through subordinate personnel, a group of Bank Branches to achieve profit, growth, and customer service objectives through the development of deposits, assets, operational efficiencies and fee based services.
DUTIES:
- Provide positive leadership and open communication for all staff in region
- Maintain complete understanding of all bank products and services
- Visit branches within region a minimum of twice per month
- Conduct monthly Branch Manager meetings within region
- Maintain a high level of communication throughout the region
- Schedule and conduct quarterly Branch Manager meetings in combination with other Regional Branch Managers
- Review and evaluate regular reports of branch activities, including staffing, loans, deposits, overdrafts, and audits to meet regional profit and performance objectives
- Ensure bank policies and standard operating procedures are consistently and uniformly applied by all Branch Managers
- Identify questionable actions, operational inefficiencies and problems and follow through with resolutions
- Resolve personnel issues, working with the assigned Human Resources personnel to ensure resolution within established procedure and guidelines
- Evaluate Branch Manager performance on a consistent basis, providing counseling and guidance as needed
- Annually prepare formal performance evaluations in an honest and impartial manner, recommending salary increases, career growth and promotions as appropriate
- Assist Branch Manager in researching competitive products and services in target markets
- Promote a sales culture, ensuring staff receives proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell and cross-sell
- Work with Branch Manager, Mortgage Officers and Commercial Loan Officers to evaluate potential prospects and prominent customers in the region for business development
- Administer and direct call programs per branch within region
- Assist in developing a Customer Satisfaction program
- Assist in developing goals for each branch
- Assist in annual budget process and coordinate overall branch budgets for the region
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Attend Asset Liability Committee meetings and Loan Officers meetings
RELATIONSHIPS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Responsible to the Chief Retail Deposit Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the fulfillment of duties assigned
- Position calls for effective time management skills, project coordination experience, the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients
- Extensive computer knowledge and grammar skills are necessary
- Maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projects
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred
- Three to five years of related experience (retail deposit area/staff management)
- Good management and human resources skills
- Extensive background in financial institution operation policies and procedures, banking regulations (state and federal), employee development and public relations
