DIRECTOR OF DATA PROCESSING

DEPARTMENT:    Information Technology
CLASSIFICATION:     Exempt
REPORTS TO:    IT Administrator
SUPERVISES:   Computer Operations Staff

POSITION SUMMARY:
Plan, coordinate and supervise the implementation and subsequent maintenance of all mainframe related systems and banking software applications utilizing mainframe related systems. Participate in daily computer operations and supervise proof and computer room staff in daily duties.

DUTIES:
1. Plan and organize all software and hardware development and installation for mainframe systems
2. Coordinate data and transaction entry in daily operations
3. Ability to operate and process daily workflow in bank applications for mainframe
4. Research problems encountered by user departments
5. Develop/maintain program specifications for new and current applications
6. Write and maintain scheduled jobs
7. Purchase supplies for mainframe operations
8. Maintain mainframe equipment and related facilities in good working order
9. Supervise computer operations and facilities and computer room staff education which includes 2-3 individuals in a 2nd shift environment
10. Schedule computer room staff for daily operations
11. Deal with vendors for mainframe hardware and related software for current/future needs
12. Manage the mainframe test environment
13. Maintain disaster recovery plan for the data processing area
14. Control the change management processes for mainframe releases and programs uploaded from Rapid
15. Coordinate the review of user access levels of all bank staff with the Premier application
16. Coordinate related functions with network Admin staff
17. Evaluate, Coordinate implementation of new hardware & software applications as related to Fiserv & mainframe operations with other IT staff
18. Other duties as assigned by IT Administrator


RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Responsible to the IT Administrator for fulfillment of duties assigned
2. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively manage time is important
3. Prior IBM AS/400 experience working in a Fiserv Premier Core application environment is required
4. Understanding of the iNavigator processes with the ability to understand the job scheduling processes within
5. Prior supervisory experience or equivalency is preferred

3. Repetitive hand and arm movement
