POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Raymond James Department has the need for a Financial Advisor.  This position provides investment services for the customer base and communities in which First Farmers serves. You should promote other First Farmer’s banking services including varies deposit and loan types. You must maintain licensing to sell annuities, mutual funds, stocks, life insurance, and other investment related products and comply with Raymond James Financial requirements.  It is strongly preferred that the candidate has a transferable book of existing clientele.
 
DUTIES:
 
  1. Provide full service financial planning, retirement and investment options to all clientele which includes First Farmers clients
  2. Solicit clients outside First Farmers customer base in similar services in an effort to expand current customer base
  3. Oversee day to day operational investment area functions
  4. Oversee investments of all clients
  5. Complete required client paperwork to open and maintain client relationships
  6. Regularly visit and train retail branches on prospecting for new business opportunities
  7. Respond to all referrals in a timely manner and provide appropriate feedback to referrer
  8. Contact clients periodically to determine if there have been changes in their financial status
  9. Monitor financial market trends to ensure that plans are effective, and to identify any necessary updates
  10. Review clients’ accounts and plans regularly to determine whether life changes, economic changes, or financial performance indicate a need for plan reassessment
 
RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  1. Responsible to the Registered Principal & Investment Area Branch Manager for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned
  2. Five to seven years’ investment or related experience is required.
  3. Maintain broad knowledge of customer development and retention techniques, including prospecting and consultative selling skills
  4. Complete regulatory training and CE’s to maintain securities, insurance licenses and other investment related products and comply with Raymond James Financial requirements
  5. Work experience in a brokerage office or financial institution, as well as the educational background to consistently demonstrate the following:

  4. Attention to detail
  5. A strong work ethic and communication skills
  6. Ability to function with minimum instruction or supervision

  8. Proficient math skills with a high degree of accuracy
  9. Valuing Integrity
  1. Series 7 license, 63 and 65 and/or 66 license, and state insurance licenses are required.
  2. Software literacy: Microsoft Office and other proprietary software.
  3. Must possess excellent communication skills including public presentation skills.
  4. Verifiable history of successful production is required.
