REPORTS TO: Regional Branch Manager
SUPERVISES: ISR, CSR and Tellers

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Branch Manager position administers management for a full service, profitable branch for First Farmers Bank & Trust. Supervising branch retail staff and providing input on different committees as needed throughout the year is required. This position combines both advanced new accounts skills along with handling all phases of teller operations. This position must assist customers in providing detailed knowledge of bank products and services, articulate the benefits and conditions of these services and cross sell products to new and current clients as needed.

DUTIES:
    1. Manage overall branch operations including but not limited to;
        a. Scheduling branch staff
        b. Develop job responsibilities for each employee at your branch
        c. Have monthly meetings with your staff to discuss sales opportunities and operational issues
    2. Establish and help attain internal performance objectives for your branch
    3. Provide quality customer service through knowledge of bank products and services
    4. Expand and retain bank customer relationships and solicit new relationships from prospective customers
    5. Educate new and existing customers about features and benefits of bank products and services. Proactively refer customers to appropriate personnel
    6. Increase the deposit base of the branch within the parameters of authority
    7. Review and provide reports to management including;
        a. Branch totals for deposit and loan volume
        b. Teller offage
        c. Total cash for your branch
        d. Matured CD reports
        e. Past due safe deposit boxes
    8. Provide support with consumer and mortgage loan inquiries, including taking the application, and insure this information is forwarded to the appropriate loan officer
    9. Assist loan officers with past due customer information for your branch
    10. Pull past due reports for loans
    11. Approve daily settlement payments of overdrafts for your branch
    12. Oversee the maintenance items for your branch
    13. Assist tellers and CSR’s in peak times to expedite the work flow
    14. Assist in counting tellers out when they are off more than $100 or with surprise audit counts
    15. Test the branch security equipment and investigate security issues as needed
    16. Coordinate training of staff on all bank products and services on an ongoing basis
    17. Maintain customer contact and handle customer complaints
    18. Ensure the branch stays in compliance of all applicable federal and state regulations
    19. Ensure completion of all quarterly BVS classes
    20. Build and insure employee and customer satisfaction levels are met
    21. Handle staff reviews for your branch
    22. Attend all applicable meetings (Teller, ISR, CSR) as well as Branch Manager meetings
New Account Duties:
    1. Approximately 50% of your time would be devoted to assist tellers to expedite the work flow (including opening of new accounts)
    2. Open personal and business accounts while assuring the quality preparation of all proper paperwork

RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Responsible to the Regional Branch Manager for the fulfillment of duties assigned
    2. Will have contact with the customers and public
    3. Ability to manage branch-banking personnel engaged in retail operations to achieve profit, growth and customer service objectives within Bank policy guidelines
    4. Previous experience in the deposit area (teller), sales and staff management preferred
    5. Requires sound knowledge of established procedures, methods and practices, and extensive knowledge of customer base
    6. Good sales and computer skills, and a proven ability to develop business are necessary
    7. Should be analytically minded and possess good judgment
    8. Must demonstrate management, communication, and interpersonal skills
    9. Maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projects

    3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
    4. Environment may necessitate excessive standing
    5. Repetitive hand and arm movement
    6. Moderate business traveling
