SENIOR COMMERCIAL/AG CREDIT ANALYST – CONVERSE

 

 

DEPARTMENT: Loans

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Credit Administration

SUPERVISES: None

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for analyzing and monitoring credit worthiness of the bank’s large and/or complex commercial/ag clients. Analyzes financial statements, tax returns and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. The Senior Analyst position will primarily focus on analyzing larger, more complex borrowing relationships.

 

DUTIES:

  1. Create financial historical spreads and pro-forma cash flows. Prepares spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial officers on new, renewal and existing loans
  2. Verify that loans will meet the required underwriting criteria for requested loan product
  3. Perform credit inquiries and analyze credit reports
  4. Analyze loan data on new, renewal and existing loans
  5. Assemble loan presentation packages for loan committee
  6. Schedule loan committee meetings (and accompanying web meetings)
  7. Review loan committee minutes report monthly prior to submitting to the Board of Directors
  8. Monitor loan policy exceptions and provide data for reporting to the Board of Directors
  9. Provide technical advice and assistance to credit analysts and loan officers
  10. Coordinate training and orientation of new hire Commercial/Ag Credit Analysts
  11. Assist with senior-level tasks within the department as directed by Credit Administration
  12. Other duties as assigned

 

RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Responsible to Credit Administration for the fulfillment of duties assigned
  2. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a preference for Finance or Economics major
  3. 2-4 years of experience in Finance, Banking, or a related field preferred
  4. Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency within commercial/agricultural credit analysis
  5. Basic computer skills, an attention to detail and accuracy, and great initiative required
  6. May be called on from time to time to participate with community organizations and community projects

  1. Normal office environment
  2. Extended viewing of computer screens
  3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
  4. Repetitive hand and arm movement
