SECONDARY MARKET MANAGER – KOKOMO SQUARE

DEPARTMENT: Loans
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
REPORTS TO: SVP Consumer Lending/SVP Retail Banking
SUPERVISES: None

POSITION SUMMARY:
Develops relationships and coordinates the buying and selling of mortgages and whole loan pools to the secondary market. Recommends product pricing and develops and assists in negotiating contracts with investors/secondary market. Assists in the packaging and delivery of sold loans, income recording and reporting.

DUTIES:
1. Meets & mentors mortgage loan originators
2. Works to promote mortgage loan production and marketing
3. Assists in sales training for mortgage originators
4. Makes joint sales calls with mortgage originators to realtors and other real estate professionals
5. Works with branch personnel to promote referrals of mortgage products to originators
6. Directs the marketing of all loan packages through public and private placements and ensures effective production and adherence to
    underwriting standards and prompt delivery of documents
7. Must maintain a complete understanding of Investor guidelines and products and stay current on all new product releases by Fannie Mae,
    Freddie Mac, FHA and other potential investors, including all product changes
8. Develops relationships with other banks, brokers and investors to allow flexibility and give the bank multiple outlets to ensure best pricing
    and execution for Loan Sales
9. Assists in preparation of accurate loan packages and ensures on-time delivery
10. Develops management reporting on portfolio’s statistics and potential loan packages available to sell


RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Responsible to SVP Consumer Lending/SVP Retail Banking the fulfillment of duties assigned
2. BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience in business or finance
3. Minimum of 8 years in mortgage banking, loan marketing, real estate brokerage or related field
4. Minimum of 5+ years of marketing experience
5. Outgoing, sales skills, marketing experience
6. Extensive knowledge of trading strategies and market characteristics
7. Extensive knowledge of secondary marketing and risk management concepts, practices and procedures
8. Strong analytical ability
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
10. Effective planning and time management skills
