COMMERCIAL LOAN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

DEPARTMENT: Loan
CLASSIFICATION: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: Commercial Loan Documentation Officer
SUPERVISES: None

POSITION SUMMARY:
Be a critical part of a commercial lending team by bridging the gap between commercial loan officers and processors while also building a relationship with clients through outstanding customer service. Assembles proper loan documentation for loan packages, and provides support for our loan processing system. Perform a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures, loan policy and regulatory guidelines. Assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy. Maintains and sets up files on each loan and ensures that information is complete and accurate before processing to the loan officer for approval. Provide administrative support to lenders. Assist in completion of limited secretarial duties for the branch.

DUTIES:
1. Assist Loan Officers with processing of loans by researching collateral, communicating with customers and third parties,
   
 making tickets, changing accounts, codes, etc. as needed
2. Gather credit and file documentation from the customer and third parties in support of the loan approval decision
3. Ensure proper documentation and procedure for government guaranteed loans and other loan enhancement programs
4. Assure that loans are processed in accordance with Company policy, regulation and procedure
5. Act as primary customer liaison in regards to loan processing
6. Review loan applications for completeness
7. Assist in processing of loan requests – research loans and collateral
8. Process paid notes; mail paid notes to customers and request collateral releases
9. Administratively assist loan officers as needed


RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Responsible to the Commercial Loan Documentation Officer for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned
2. Strong working knowledge of the bank’s lending policies, procedures and documentation requirements
3. Must be able to deal tactfully and efficiently with bank customers in handling problems of a relatively complex nature
4. Ideal candidate would possess the initiative and desire to accomplish a variety of unique tasks during a typical workday.
   
This candidate would enjoy working with her team to minimize the Bank’s documentation and compliance risk even through complex circumstances.
