DEPARTMENT:  Loans
CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:  Sr. VP Director of Mortgage & Lending and Director of Mortgage Operations
SUPERVISES:  None
 
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
In charge of maintaining and supporting Consumer & Mortgage Origination Software (currently MortgageBot & ComplianceOne), including: software updates & patches, problem solving, implementation of new modules, ticket generation and follow through, create & updates of training/resource binders for current and new employees, educate/train bank staff and new hires on LOS software and loan procedures.  
 
Also responsible for preparing closing packages and coordinating closings with Loan Originators and title companies for Mortgages and HELOC’s;  and closing of Secondary Market contracts.  Further supporting our loan process and closing departments by: Home Equity preparation and closing out files, Title Insurance and recording filing, scanning, closing mortgage files (tickets, payoffs, etc.), mail paid Notes, as well as, other duties as assigned.
 
DUTIES:
  • Become familiar with Secondary Market guidelines
  • Confirm & track Secondary Market loans sales
  • Know all aspects and be the “go to person” for MortgageBot and ComlianceOne
  • Prepare, schedule, and organize closing packages (HELOC, Secondary, and in-house)
  • Post-closing duties (i.e. tickets, payoffs, scanning, imaging, etc.)
  • Work to create efficiencies and cross-training for the Closing department
  • Continue to improve and increase use of current and future LOS technologies
  • Monitor and research developing LOS technologies to improve department workflow
  • Communication with our customer, Mortgage Loan Officers, title companies, third party vendors, etc. with emphasis on the highest customer service and quality
  • Scanning, filing, imaging, and retiring closed mortgage files
  • Travel to branch locations for training on systems and process
  • Promote and support bank in an effort to increase market share

  • Must demonstrate strong verbal and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of the bank’s lending policies, procedures and documentation requirements
  • Superior “soft skills” in working with different personality types, third party vendors, customers, and other bank employees
