ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT COMMERCIAL/AGRICULTURAL LENDER
 
 
DEPARTMENT:  Loans

REPORTS TO:   Sr. Vice President Director of Commercial/Ag Lending
SUPERVISES:  None
 
POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for commercial & agriculture business development, including origination of commercial & Ag loans and deposit generation.  Ensure that lending activities result in maximum volume, and minimal delinquency ratio. Prospect and develop new customer relationships while maintaining existing customer relationships. Develop revenue growth through generation of loans while meeting production goals. General support of management in operation of the bank including asset-liability management and marketing efforts.
 
DUTIES:
  1. Review, analyze and approve or reject loan requests in accordance with bank policy and guidelines
  2. Analyze financial information and apply sound banking judgment according to loan purpose analysis, repayment source analysis and loan structure
  3. Responsible for developing and maintaining commercial and agriculture relationships within the banks marketing area
  1. Identifying and developing potential commercial lending opportunities within an assigned market segment
  2. Interviewing prospective borrowers to obtain information to determine acceptability of loan risk
  3. Implementing, developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships
  4. Maintaining a quality loan portfolio
 RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Responsible to the Sr. Vice President Director of Commercial/Ag Lending for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned 
  2. Strong knowledge and experience in the origination, underwriting and closing of commercial and agriculture loans
  3. Must be familiar with the bank’s policies and procedures in addition to the regulations governing consumer lending and credit
  4. Should be analytically minded, sales-oriented, excellent interpersonal communication skills and posses good judgment
  5. Maintain relationships within the business community including participation with community organizations and community projects
