FINANCIAL ANALYST – CONVERSE

DEPARTMENT: Finance
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Treasurer
SUPERVISES: None

POSITION SUMMARY:
Financial Analyst supports Treasurer and works with third party vendors and finance department to process and report asset liability and liquidity positions and execute strategies of Bank and administers certain wholesale funding programs. FA completes periodic financial reporting to board and management, coordinates preparation of retirement plan financial statements, assists with schedule preparation for external audits and regulatory examinations and generates certain ad-hoc financial reports.

DUTIES:
Asset/Liability, Liquidity and Contingency Funding Plan
   1. Interim liquidity and deposit reporting
     a. Weekly liquidity report
     b. Funding rate matrix
   2. Asset liability coordination with third party vendor including preparation of schedules, data submission and review of vendor reports.
   3. Preparation of monthly liquidity source and use statements in addition to quarterly stressed source and use statements.
   4. FHLBI blanket collateral reporting
   5. Back-office settlement and configuration and setup of wholesale deposit network relationships.


Financial Reporting – Regulatory/External
   1. FR 2900 reporting weekly
   2. 401(k) financial statement preparation annually
   3. Shareholder-format condensed (no footnotes) consolidated financial report preparation
   4. Assistance with external audit schedules


Financial Reporting – Internal
   1. Board reporting
     a. Liquidity report
     b. Swap portfolio reporting
   2. Branch financial reporting


Other Duties:
   1. Preparation of certain general ledger account reconciliations
   2. Servicing asset accounting – residential mortgage and other servicing
   3. Payroll integration configuration
   4. Loan pricing system maintenance
   5. Assist in development of budget and boarding to mainframe
   6. Ad hoc financial analysis projects
   7. Process review projects as needed
   8. 12-18 hours of CE annually
   9. Other duties as assigned


RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
   1. Responsible to the Treasurer for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilities assigned
   2. A Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience and 5+ years of progressively responsible
      
experience in the financial services industry
   3. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required
   4. Proficiency in spreadsheets computerized financial reporting systems required
   5. Strong analytical ability
   6. Effective planning and time management skills
   7. May be called on from time to time to participate with community organizations and community projects


WORKING CONDITIONS:
