IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: IT Administrator
SUPERVISES: None
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides support to IT department; responsible for staging of new pcs for all bank staff, as well as responsible in getting old equipment cleaned and staged to be donated to different organizations; would help in cleaning up of old wiring and the pulling of new wiring as needed within the different branches; provide phone support for general help desk functions.
DUTIES:
- Set up new pcs, replace old pcs
- Cleaning old pcs, wiping off hard drives
- General cleanup of computer/server rooms
- Help deliver/install new pcs at branches
- Periodically setup of WebEx for other departments
- Tier level 1 Phone support for branch staff
- Help establish/maintain user access levels across the network and within other applications
- Help in testing different applications during software upgrades
RELATIONSHIPS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Responsible to the SVP, IT Administrator for the fulfillment of duties as assigned
- Excellent oral, written and verbal skills required
- The ability to interact positively with customers and bank associates at all levels and excellent organizational skills, creativity and self-motivation is desired
- Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and community projects
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a Helpdesk environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment
- Extended viewing of computer screens
- Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive hand and arm movement
- Environment may necessitate excessive standing
- Some distance traveling to other branches with other staff
