REPORTS TO: Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager




This position combines both advanced new accounts skills along with handling all phases of teller operations. They are also required to know the various products offered at the bank and have the ability to articulate the benefits and conditions of those services. This position must assist customers in providing detailed knowledge of bank products and services, and cross sell products to new and current clients as needed.



  1. Provide quality customer service through knowledge of all bank products and services. 

  2. Expand and retain bank customer relationships while growing new relationship from prospective customers.

  3. Educate new and existing customers about features and benefits of bank products and services. Proactively refer customers to appropriate personnel.

  4. Conduct financial consultations with customers and take applications for all consumer loans including home equity line of credit applications.

  5. Open all consumer and commercial deposit accounts while looking for opportunities to cross-solve potential financial needs.

  6. Follow-up with all new accounts utilizing the 2-2-2 process.

  7. Input and process all new deposit accounts, including customer verification through ChexSystems.

  8. Attendance at all CSR meetings as scheduled.



  1. Processing customer transactions; such as cashing checks, handling deposits, withdrawals, money orders and cashier's checks. 

  2. Balance cash within teller drawer daily.

  3. Manage and resolve all customer requests for updates, inquiries and any problems either in person or over the phone.

  4. Maintain monetary instruments and large currency logs.

  5. Process cash advances; spring/fall property taxes; and wire transfers as needed.

  6. Processing/Ordering checks and all related products for customers.




  1. Completion of educational assignments. 

  2. Perform all ATM duties including; balancing, maintaining and supplying as needed; sometimes on call after hours.

  3. Notary Public duties.

  4. Compliance with all branch security policies, including but not limited to, proper branch opening and closing.

  5. Participate in any sales activities as directed by the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager.

  6. Perform other duties as assigned.



  1. Responsible to the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager for the fulfillment of duties assigned.  

  2. Skills needed include strong cash handling abilities, knowledge of appropriate government regulations, comprehensive knowledge of bank products, and operations.

  3. Must have excellent communication and listening skills, a strong commitment to providing quality service, and attention to detail.

  4. This position requires dedication to customer service, by responding in a professional manner to customer questions and problems.

  5. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and interactions with customers and work effectively in a team setting.



  1. Normal office environment.

  3. Moderate lifting up to 25 pounds.

  4. Repetitive hand and arm movement.

  5. Environment may necessitate excessive standing.
